Heather Twomey received her B.A. in accounting in 1996 and a master's of accountancy in 1997 from Manchester University. After graduation, Professor Twomey worked as an auditor for Ernst and Young LLP and spent a significant amount of time working with a Fortune 500 company. Professor Twomey returned to Manchester in the fall of 2000. She is a certified public accountant and dean of the College of Business.  She teaches courses in the areas of financial accounting and auditing.

Beth Driscoll received a B.S. in Marketing from Ball State University in 1989 and completed her M.B.A. in 1997 from Indiana University, Kokomo.  She offers over 25 years of marketing and leadership experience in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Professor Driscoll teaches courses in marketing, professional sales, and management. She enjoys offering practical learning opportunities for the students and supporting them as they develop the skills needed to reach their educational and career goals.

Dr. Jason Gornto holds a BM and BS from Butler University, an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Ball State University and a Ph.D in Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University. He was named a Nobel Distinguished Educator in 2014 and received the President's Volunteer Service Award from President Joe Biden in 2024 recognizing lifetime achievement of more than 4000 volunteer hours. Jason consults regularly for growing national companies, municipalities, and the U.S. Department of Defense. He has been teaching for more than 26 years and enjoys engaging students through real-world skills, relatable examples, and relationship building. 

Dr. Wendy E. Hoffman graduated from St. Joseph University in Philadelphia with a B.S. in management and marketing; she earned her M.B.A. with a finance track at Drexel University and her doctorate in higher education management at the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia. For over fifteen years, Dr. Hoffman has been a business administration faculty member at the undergraduate and graduate levels with special interest in marketing, finance, and management. She enjoys the challenge of bringing practical business exposure to students in the academic setting and supporting their development of professional skills. Dr. Hoffman spent thirteen years in sales and finance in the telecommunications industry before redirecting her career to higher education.

Dr. Sun J. Kang graduated from the University of California, Davis with a B.A. in art studio. He earned an M.B.A and M.S. in sport management from Barry University, and a doctorate in educational leadership and organization development with a sport administration specialization at the University of Louisville. Before pursuing his career in teaching, he worked in the golf industry for over six years and served various roles in human resources, public relations, and project management. His research interest includes sport consumption behaviors, marketing and sponsorship as it relates to technology trends. Dr. Kang teaches sport management and marketing courses. 

David McGrady received his B.A. in Accounting and Business from Franklin College in 1978 and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1979.  Professor McGrady began his career as a tax manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Fort Worth, Texas working with clients including Pier 1.  He then served as an instructor and the program director for the financial planning concentration at Eastern Illinois University.  Professor McGrady has served on the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association of Illinois and Mid Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters.  He has completed numerous consulting engagements primarily valuing marital interests in defined benefit plans.  He is a certified public accountant, a CFP® and teaches courses in accounting and finance.

Joe Messer received his B.S. in Horticulture from Purdue University in 1982, a certificate in Innovation from IMD in Switzerland, and a master’s in management from the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University in 1993. Professor Messer spent the first 12 years of his business career working for the Dutch seed breeding firm Sluis and Groot, rising to the position of president. He then entered the orthopaedic industry with a directorship at DePuy and a vice president’s position at Paragon Medical. In 1999 he was hired as president of Daehnfeldt Inc., the U.S. division of a Danish seed breeding firm. Most recently Professor Messer was president of DVO Extremity Solutions, an orthopaedics firm that focused on designing products for the upper extremity. He teaches a variety of courses in business management, entrepreneurship, innovation, and sales. He has a special interest in entrepreneurship and is the Mark E. Johnston Professor of Entrepreneurship. 

Blake Moore earned a B.S. in sport management and a B.S. in communication studies from Manchester University in 2018 and a master’s in higher education from Grace College in 2022. Professor Moore has held various roles in the sports industry including sports information director, broadcaster/announcer, marketing specialist, official, and coach. In addition, Blake spent five years working in college admissions as a recruiter, operations specialist, and CRM manager. He teaches coursework in sport management and data analytics.

The College of Business is also fortunate to have Mindy Moore as operations and graduate admissions coordinator. Mindy brings deep experience in this type of role from her work in both the Office of Alumni Relations and the Office of Academic Affairs at Manchester, and she has also served as Executive Director of the Fulton County Council on Aging where she managed a $500,000 budget and a staff of twenty employees. The combination of her work ethic and her conscientious attention to detail is beneficial to the College and frees the faculty to focus even more on the students.

Timothy Ogden received a B.A. in 1987 from Manchester University and an M.B.A. in 1989 from the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management at the Claremont Graduate University in southern California. In 1996 he received the Doctor of Jurisprudence, summa cum laude, from Indiana University. Professor Ogden joined the faculty at Manchester University in 1990 and left in 1996 for a short time to practice law with a firm in Indianapolis concentrating in complex business litigation. After returning to Manchester, he practiced law part-time until 2009. He teaches courses in business law, marketing and management.

Brad Pyrah received his B.S. in accounting from Brigham Young University in 1982 and a master's of accounting and a juris doctorate from Brigham Young University in 1986. Professor Pyrah practiced public accounting with Squire and Co. in Orem, Utah for 10 years. He also practiced law for a short time. Professor Pyrah came to Manchester University in 1995. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Utah Bar Association. He teaches courses in the areas of business law and taxation.

Dr. Lindsay Pursglove got her BA in Sociology from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2005. In 2009, she obtained an MS in Sport Management from Barry University. Then later adding an MBA and PhD in Kinesiology-Sport Management from Texas Woman’s University. Dr. Pursglove has sport management and business experience in professional sports and recreational sports. She was awarded Gulf Coast Magazines 40 Under 40 business award in 2018. Outside of the sport industry she has years of teaching experience and research in sport management and business.

Dr. Samuel L. Rohr received his B.S. in Business from Manchester University (Manchester College) in 1995, an MBA from Indiana Institute of Technology in 2001, and a Ph.D. in Technology Management from Indiana State University in 2009.  Prior to Manchester, Sam has held faculty appointments at Saint Mary’s College, Purdue University Northwest, University of Saint Francis, and Wright State University-Lake Campus. Professor Rohr has also served as a training consultant to small and mid-sized organizations. His research interests include Human Resources, Organizational culture, Teamwork, and Case-method teaching.  

Jennifer Simmers received her BA in Accounting from Manchester University (Manchester College) in 1994 and a MBA from Indiana University in 1999.  Following her undergraduate degree, she worked in public accounting for approximately 3 years.  She then transitioned to various corporate accounting roles, primarily in the financial services industry, until she joined the College of Business faculty in 2008.  She is a CPA and CGMA.  She teaches courses in accounting and finance.  Her areas of interest are financial accounting, corporate finance and fraud.
