‘Echoes of the Ancestors’ performance is Sept. 26 at Manchester
NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Manchester University Department of Music presents “Echoes of the Ancestors” by The Phil Schurger Group at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 in Wine Recital Hall.
It is free and open to the public.
The Echoes performance is the expression of Schurger’s dynamic journey through 10 years of meditative and musical process. He has honed his skills as a composer to act effortlessly as a conduit of force and form.
Schurger holds bachelor’s and master's degrees in music from Northern Illinois University, where he studied with Fareed Haque. The Fort Wayne resident has been playing professionally since the age of 17.
